What age level should I try out for?

Although they are referred to by age (9U, 10U, etc…), playing levels are determined by grade. For the 2025 season, playing levels are as follows: 

9U: HS Class of 2034
10U: HS Class of 2033
11U: HS Class of 2032
12U: HS Class of 2031
13U: HS Class of 2030
14U: HS Class of 2029
15U: HS Class of 2028
16U: HS Class of 2027
17U: HS Class of 2026

How much does it cost to play for JAG Select?

Player fees may vary based on age level and the level of tournaments each team is playing in,  but most are about $800. The player fee includes a jersey and warmup top. JAG Select players also receive free admission to at least 8 skill sessions that will be held throughout April and May of 2025.  Justagame is willing to offer payment plans or employment opportunities to assist with the cost of JAG Select on a case-by-case basis.

When is the JAG Select season?

JAG Select teams will begin practicing in late March or early April. Teams will practice 1-2 times per week throughout the season. Most teams will play 5-7 tournaments, which will take place on weekends, primarily in April through June. Some teams will play into July as well.

How much travel is required to play JAG Select?

The amount of travel will vary based on the age level and level of play. Some teams will play the majority of their tournaments at Justagame, but higher level teams may have the option to travel to tournaments within reasonable driving distance. When registering for tryouts,  you will have the option to choose whether you prefer to travel. 

How many players will be on a JAG Select Roster?

Our goal is to have most rosters between 8-10 players.

Is JAG Select on a circuit?

Some JAG Select teams will play on the PrepHoops circuit and the PrepHoops events in 2025, depending on age and skill level.

How often do JAG Select teams practice?

Most JAG Select teams will practice 1-2 times per week throughout the season.

Where do JAG Select teams practice?

JAG Select teams practice at Justagame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells (200 LaCrosse St.) and Justagame Reedsburg Fieldhouse (1501 Viking Dr.).

Where do JAG Select teams play tournaments?

This is largely based on age and skill level. Most JAG Select teams will play between 5-7 tournaments. Some of our younger teams and teams that are more focused on development will play the majority of their tournaments at Justagame. Some of our older and more competitive teams will have the option to also travel to tournaments within reasonable driving distance.
